LAGUNA, Philippines — Classes in four public schools and work in government offices in Santa Cruz town in this province were suspended due to bomb threats yesterday morning.
Administrators of Santa Cruz Central Elementary School, Pedro Guevara Memorial High School, Laguna Senior High School and Santa Cruz Integrated National High School said they received the threat through a message posted on social media at around 7 a.m.
The same message was sent to employees of the municipal hall, according to Lt. Col. Alexander Alvarez, Santa Cruz police chief.
According to the message, bombs were planted in four schools and at the municipal hall.
“The schools were declared safe after authorities found no bombs in the premises,” Alvarez said.
